Since TK day...

we've been slacking...

let me catch you up.

Thanksgiving was my last day as a meat eater. I'm doing it, I'm giving up the meats. I've been wanting to do this for a while and I feel like this is the perfect time in my life to do this. It's going to be nearly impossible, but I am going to give it my all. I have been eating meat for the last 26 years, but I feel that maybe its hasn't been the best thing for me. Regardless, the main reason is the cruelty of animals, especially in America.

GoVeg.com is an amazing website and tool for those interested in becoming vegetarian or even those who have been meat free for a while. They have a vegetarian starter kit. When I first got my "kit" I expected it to be a kit, but it ended up being a pamphlet. Well let me just say that it was a very powerful pamphlet and honestly within five minutes of reading, I never wanted to eat an animal again. ( Click here for your free vegetarian starter kit )

To me it just makes sense.

Check these out, ( If you have weak stomachs...don't read or watch these videos )

But I'm learning that as I read more and more and look at recipes for non meat meals, its not going to be that hard.

The thing that I need to work on is being able to eat Tofu. I'm not so much against the taste but it's the texture that gets me.

So I will keep you guys posted as my journey of learning to like vegetables continues.

Bro Time

Hello Bloggers,

Greetings from the City of Steel. The City of Three Rivers. The city that puts the "Iron" in Iron City Beer. The City of Champions (that includes 5 Super Bowl rings Go Steelers, 5 World Series titles Go Buccos, and 2 Stanley Cups Go Pens). The City that never sleeps (during a Steelers game). You guessed it, I'm in Pittsburgh, PA right now baby and it's all good baby babbaaayyy! In my very first night back in the burgh I visited a close friend of mine with some other friends dahn in Oahklind. (I am writing this in true Pittsburghese so you get the full effect). We watched some Monday Night Football and drank some shit, yinz know what I'm talkin bout. I was drinking Old Crow that me and my buddy Karas brought back from Virginia. We were in Fredericksburg(h) for a few days and got back Monday night. Good shit. We then proceeded to order some pizza that I insisted had to have bacon on it. Worst decision I've made in a long time. It turns aht that my stomach doesn't handle Old Crow and bacon covered pizza very well. Lets just say that while dropping Eamonn off at home Karas had to wait while I fucking threw up aht of the car. In other news, Brady Quinn (quarterback of the Cleveland Browns) finally is declared out for the rest of the season for being such a bitch. If you want to talk about fabulous, just mention Brady Quinn's history of injuries in the NFL. Through two NFL starts, he's been injurder twice. I think he just didn't want to play the Steelers at the end of the season. He knew James Harrison wouldn't have left him breathing. Well, it's almost 4 am I should get to sleep sometime in the next hour. I'll let yinz know how the burgh is, probably with a video or something.
Goodnight America.

CNN - Court to hear Prop. 8 appeal

Thursday, November 20, 2008 10:37 AM EST
CNN

(CNN)

"California's Supreme Court said Wednesday that it will hear the appeal of a challenge to Proposition 8, a voter-approved measure outlawing same-sex marriage.

In a written statement, the court said it will not block the implementation or enforcement of the law in the meantime.

Proposition 8 passed with about 52.5 percent of the vote, making California one of several states to ban same-sex marriage in the November 4 elections.

But unlike the other states, California had already been issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples since May, after a state Supreme Court ruling legalized the unions.

The American Civil Liberties Union, Lambda Legal and the National Center for Lesbian Rights filed legal challenges to the vote, asking the high court to rule the ballot-initiative process was "improperly used" to strip away a right protected by the state constitution. iReport.com: Share your view on same-sex marriage

The court said arguments in the case could be heard as early as March.

In its May 15 ruling legalizing same-sex marriage in California, the justices seemed to signal that a ballot initiative like Proposition 8 might not be enough to change the underlying constitutional issues of the case in the court's eyes.

The ruling said the right to marry is among a set of basic human rights "so integral to an individual's liberty and personal autonomy that they may not be eliminated or abrogated by the legislature or by the electorate through the statutory initiative process."

In the hours after the proposition's apparent passage, thousands of protesters took to the streets of Los Angeles and other cities across California in protest.

Observances in support of same-sex marriage were held in cities across the country Saturday."

This is awesome!

Another photo shoot.

I must say, Cassie your fucking picture is sick!

They are all so ... fitting...

Bro Time

Dear Bloggers,

Tonight the Pittsburgh Steelers are playing the Cincinnati Bengals for a Thursday night NFL Network game. Personally I hate NFL Network for doing this, b/c a majority of people do not have NFL Network. Besides the fact that the Steelers are going to win this one by about 70 points, I think its just a given that this method needs some amending. But that's not why I'm blogging, believe it or not. I will be driving home for Thanksgiving this weekend, as I'm sure a majority of Americans will be doing this weekend. I just want to say have safe travels and eat some turkey. I will be going home to a great group of friends that I haven't exactly stayed in touch with as well as I hoped I would have when I left for school three years ago. A psycho ex-girlfriend that I haven't talked to in months will also be there, but hopefully I won't be forced to be put in that horribly awful presence. Bro's you know what I'm talking about, only multiply the psycho factor by about 100x. When a girl starts making fake facebook profiles to find out what you're doing at school, that's when you need to stop talking to them (that's all I'm saying). Most importantly though, I'll be going home to see my family. My actual Bro will be getting home from his first semester at the University of Vermont. I'm excited to see him and how he's doing and also my big sister. Family is the most important thing you can have, especially around the holidays. This will be the first Thanksgiving and Christmas without my grandma. She passed away this past March, when I found out just how strong a family can be, and how important it is to be close to those with which you share blood. Every Thanksgiving she would make her homemade spaghetti, because she didn't like turkey. I would always have a side of spaghetti and also her lemon merangue pie, which she made especially for me. I'll miss her more than I can imagine right now when I'm at home that night with my family. She was a warm presense that lit up the room with her smile. Below is a picture from my high school graduation with my grandma and grandpa. Don't take for granted the time you spend with your family, because you never know when you're going to pray for just another minute with someone.

Good day America.

Something fabulous

Nepal says yes to same sex marriages.

Wow, talk about amazing...

be warned... Gay Fascism.

(click the title)

“I think there is a gay and secular fascism in this country that wants to impose its will on the rest of us, is prepared to use violence, to use harassment. I think it is prepared to use the government if it can get control of it. I think that it is a very dangerous threat to anybody who believes in traditional religion. And I think if you believe in historic Christianity, you have to confront the fact.”

one guess...Newt Gingrich.

fuckin' A.

I'm really not trying to come of as some crazy liberal. Those who know me know that I am not. I'm actually more of a leaner to the Republican side.

But.

I'm gay, you know what, fuck it, and I'm proud of it. , So fuck you. Let me tell you what the opponents of proposition 8 want. They, We... want what you have. See, we don't want anything special, we don't want special rights. We wanna get married, we want to be able to be at our husbands' or wives' death bed. Exactly the rights you have. Hell! We even want the right to have affairs, to be gold diggers, just as much as you people that claim so high do on a daily basis.

What blows my mind is the argument against this case. The only reason that's even worth a hoot is something that should not even be brought up. I get it, I was raised with religion being a big part of my life. I know what the bible says.

BUT

I also know that the Constitution says about separation of church and state.

-Separation of church and state is a political and legal doctrine that government and religious institutions are to be kept separate and independent from each other.[1] The term most often refers to the combination of two principles: secularity of government and freedom of religious exercise.[2]

Click it. But, I'm sure you know what it means. We all do. So, could someone please explain to me how this could possibly be happening? Other than the fact that we indeed have a corrupt government. (sorry dad)...But this is totally unconstitutional.

Bro Time

Hello bloggers,

It's almost 3:00 AM and I've been up all night doing homework. I'm exhausted. But I did just manage to fit in some time to watch the latest installment of HBO's Entourage. It gave me some perspective on Bros. Turtle is confronted with a choice of continuing his renewed relationship with Jamie Lynn Sigler, or to go spend time with his three bros after Vince's project got shut down. Turtle chose his bros. And it shows that in the long run bros always goes before hoes. I suppose most guys in his situation would have chose his bros. In other news, The Pittsburgh Steelers have regained control of the AFC North with a home win against the San Diego Chargers. The final score was 10-11 Pittsburgh, and this marked the first ever regular season game in Professional football history that the final score of a game was 10-11. Let me just say that the referees had it out for us from the start of the game. They called over 10 penalties for over 100 yards against us, and we still won. Willie Parker had a 100-yard game after a 5 weeks of sitting on the sidelines. Brett Keisel had a sack. James Harrison and Troy Polamalu both had interceptions. It was just a great game to watch. Before I go, I want to give a shout out to a bro of mine from not only another mother, but another species. Deisel (Deisel Corleone, officially) is a dog that belongs to a friend of mine. We recently got in an arguement and she might have felt upset by the whole thing, and maybe isolated because she was angering some other people. I just want to say that respect comes when it is recieved. The picture I put in this post is of me, Deisel, and my friend. I hope we can get past this, for the sake of brohood.

Good night America.

Here are some other pictures of Deisel.

I am old

TRL is officiallt off the air.

Damn, we are old.

Good Bye!

Soon enough

With the music season coming and music being a big part of our fucking crazy lives, it would only make sense to have two of the most musically diverse girls talk about one of their biggest passions...music.

Also, I do believe the talented and amazing Carolina will be stopping by to show us her art and uncontrollable desire to make the world fabulous...one photo at a time.

just to smile

My Turn

So.

Everyone

Is

Introducing

themselves.

Fair Enough

The Scorpio

I'm brutal, sexual, crazy, compassionate
honest, loyal, jealous, and so much more.

Seriously... I am.

My name is Ivan... blah blah, I was born in Madrid, Spain and I miss it everyday of my life. I moved to Miami in '92 , I was ten and hatied every single day of my life. I didn't understand why I had to leave everything and everyone behind, my grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. I went from a very simple life...

My grandpa ran a bar, my grandma ran the house, my aunt studied, my mom was fabulous and I played.
I spent summers running alone, chasing chickens, eating pig ears, going to bullfights and swimming here
...Not a bad place to spend summers...

Then, I moved to the greatest country in the world. The USA. I had to learn a different language, learn different cultures, different lifestyles and learn a complete backwards way to do just about everything.

Ok, it was not the worst thing that happened to me. I've learned alot about life and all the other cliched things people learn when something dramatic happens to them. I've always compared it to a social experiment, and the experiment is far from over.

I've got one more thing to do.

I ♥NY

I'm currently living in Savannah, GA ... The gayest place in the south. No lie. I moved here with a headache that no matter how many pills I took, it never went away. Finally, after milking the cow for so long and realizing the cow had no milk left, I let the cow let me go...you know what I'm talking about? HAHAHA

Anyway, I decided to stay in Savannah and try to live. I achieved it and I ended up achieving so much more.

Life...

So now life is happening and I'm ready for the ride
...this is where the fabulous comes to play...

I have a fabulous roommate (C) an amazing yellow lab (R) a job I hate going to, but secretly can't tear myself away from, an amazing group of talented, sick, demonic, wonderful, group of friends that i could never imagine life without, new and old. I'm moving to the most ridiculous place on earth and in a city full of millions and millions and yeah, you guessed it, more millions... I will be known. Its part of the plan.

71 million

Quantum of Solace opened this weekend, raking in an estimated 71 million bucks. It was projected to make about 60 million, but its already gone way past that and they have yet to finish counting in the bucks.

Congrats Daniel Craig and the rest of the cast...

I'm tempted to go see this movie.

Beyonce Becomes “Sasha Fierce”

This is just odd.

I'm gay. By the Law of Gayness, I think I am required to like Beyonce.

GURRLLLL.

Let me just say, I think she is fabulous, from a gay point of view. I love her shows, I love her videos, I love her wardrobe hits and malfuctions... BUT

Who does she think she is? Could I just change my name?

I wonder what my name would be if I just woke up one day and decided I didn't want to be Ivan anymore.

Trust me it would be better than Sasha Fierce.

I would be NAVI

Ok, read this...

Beyonce becomes...Sasha Fierce

Ok, watch this...

Since when is Propaganda legal in the US?

Propaganda is the deliberate, systematic attempt to shape perceptions, manipulate cognitions, and direct behavior to achieve a response that furthers the desired intent of the propagandist.
—Garth S. Jowett and Victoria O'Donnell, Propaganda and Persuasion

This video is disturbing, straight up Propaganda.

We are no better than anyone that has ever unjustly prosecuted anyone.

I am literally ashamed and sadden.

Its Bro Time...Apparently

.:Bro Time:.
.Coming soon.

So we've collectively decided that we're going to need some Bro"ness" in this blog. I'm sure our straight males out there are thinking...

Huh?

Yup, how can straight males or anyone for that matter benefit from fabulosity?

Dan the man is going to tell us just that...

from sports updates (we're thinking we're going to be hearing a lot about the Steelers) to movies and to his point of view on many other things,

Don't worry he's promised to keep it fabulous...right Dan?

Just a small photo shoot with Callie

An impromptu photo shoot is really just another part of our fabulosity.

Tha ts what happens when you surround yourself with fabulous people.

Someone told me I use the word fabulous a lot, I swear I will stop.

Let it begin...

Lately I've been thinking about what being fabulous means. I think I'm pretty sure I know what it means to me. So I've decided during my transition period that begun in Florida, that's bloomed in Savannah...that will end in New York and continue to Europe at some long point from now...

For now, I plan to make some smiles happen...

Bulleted List By the time we get ready to move, I want to be in a very green conscious state of living.
  • NO MORE PLASTIC BAGS. I VOW TO PUT A RECYCLED BAG IN MY BOOKBAG.
Once in New York, I would like to explore the options of eating less red meat and pork.

I would like to own the items on this list of essential wardrobe items a man should have. Top ten male essentials

By the time we get to New York, I want to be at a level 2 in yoga. Right now I am at the end of level 1. I say within 2009 I'll be at a 2... I can do it. Within 5 years I would like to be teaching yoga...not as a career, but as a forced workout. LOL

NEEDLESS TO SAY, I AM SO READY FOR THIS

Besos,

Keith Olbermann

how amazing for someone to say this outloud

i wish someone could answer the question thats being asked, that no one really ever answers...

who really cares?

We got a facelift

The other blog just was not meeting our standards...

Hey, we're going fabulous, it only makes sense.

Im still not sure how or in what direction we want this blog to go.

we just know one thing...

FABULOUS
